Nice hotel integrated with a coffee shop on the ground floor. Old style building to live an original experience, room had the downside of not having a window. Shared bathrooms so you need to organise yourself. Very thin walls so could hear anything from the neighbours. Friendly house cat roams around the hotel

It's been almost a year since we stayed at Originn Space, and we're still reminiscing about it. We would absolutely stay again. Everything was perfect, from the surrounding historic neighborhood, to the calm ambience, to the delicious coffee and other thoughtful amenities, to the vintage turntable, excellent selection of records, and the friendly resident feline. The whole vibe was just homey and soothing. Our room had a very high ceiling and a private bathroom with an enormous soaking tub. This room does not have windows, so it was relatively quiet. We did hear a bit of street noise, but nothing that would keep us awake at night. We found lots of fascinating things to see, do, and eat within walking distance. Culturally and historically significant Dihua Street is steps away from this property. We were lucky enough to be there just prior to Chinese New Year, when this street is closed off to local traffic and transforms into a massive New Year market. And as others have said, it is very near to the Beimen MRT station, with all of Taipei easily accessible from there. We were so glad we stayed at Originn Space rather than some boring chain hotel! Someday we will be back.

Hardware is really very well considered. Staffs and the owner are nice. Offers good free coffee for guests. Only problem is a noise. It's not hotel's problem, but people possibly in the beer bar were shouting outside the hotel when I stayed there until 1am. I also heard loud road noise. They offer free earplug for you. All you need is to put them in your ears.

This place is simply marvelous. Good location, big and clean rooms, nice coffee,... It's 5 minutes away from Beimen MRT station on foot. The owners are super nice and thoughtful and will do their best to help you with your trip with all kinds of tips. I really recommend this place! Light sleepers might find this place a bit loud, since it is located right next to a very busy road. However, there are earplugs provided in the room, so you can cancel out the noise like this. Bathroom and toilet are shared, but are very clean. You can also ask for laundry services for a small fee. For people who are interested in cute and unique handicraft, the owners have several items displayed in their lobby. Even if you do not plan to buy something there, you can check out the cute items :) We had an awesome stay at this place and will go back here if we return to Taipei!
